Not all law school graduates go on to become lawyers. According to an article in The Dallas Morning News, Forbes Magazine lists five Southern Methodist University law graduates in the list of the world's richest people as well as lists including the world's most powerful women and Forbes 400 Richest Americans.

Among these five alumni are Robert Rowling, Angela Brady, and Trevor Reese-Jones.

Rowling, who is CEO of both Omni Hotels and Gold's Gym, ranks 189 in the world's richest list as well as 69 in the Forbes 400.

Another SMU law graduate, Brady is the CEO of WellPoint, ranks 12 in the most powerful woman in the world, and a major leader in the business industry.

Reese-Jones, a former bankruptcy lawyer and currently an oil and gas investor, ranks 110 in the Forbes 400 in addition to 616 in the world's richest people.

Other billionaire SMU law graduates include Gerald J. Ford, a banker, Helmut Sohmen, chairman of BW Group (shipping), Hong-Tu Tsai, with Cathay, and David B. Dillon of Kroger Inc.
