JOB SUMMARY:

Grows customer and sales portfolios by researching customers, analyzing sales and operational databases, and developing key customer and decision maker relationships. Develops customer profiles, generates customer awareness and interest, responds or develops proposals and presentations, and assists with transitioning sale to operations. The role will provide escalated problem resolution, but its primary focus is customer sales and account development. It is a professional, entry level positon into the sales and account manager track.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Performs research into the operations and services of current or potential customers; develops customer, brand and service profiles.Works to qualify leads, generate customer interest, promoting awareness and develop new leads; applies account development and market strategies. Analyzes and maintains operational and customer databases, develops reports and queries to identify outstanding opportunities and follows-up to secure, and ensures accuracy of tariffs, terms, quotes, pricing, and related activity or profiles.Prepares research and information to respond to customer requests or proposals, prepares quotes, reports, and other information as required.Develops quotes, proposals or presentations for customers for management approval; assists with presentation as required. Attends customer visits and sales activities to continue strengthening relationship, understanding needs and operations and secure and grow business. Develops critical relationships with customers and key contacts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and identify opportunities to secure and grow business.Ensures processes and operations complies with applicable laws, rules and regulations; seeks advice and interpretation when required.Assists with overseeing the transition of new business to operations, which includes coordinating communications, ensuring critical milestones are outlined and assisting with resolving internal questions or concerns. Serves as a contact for escalated customer needs, leverages internal and external resources to identify resolution and works to ensure implementation.Monitors operations, identifies potential problems, and is proactive in resolution. Ensures timely communication is provided to customers, operations and related parties on the status of services, works to resolve potential service or operational issues, and informs leaders as required. Develops deep understanding of company products, services and value propositions; provides assistance reviewing and implementing market strategies. Provides assistance in developing marketing and related communications materials for target customers or markets.Manages a smaller portfolio of business independently once fully operational. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Experience: Less than one year related experience required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Fundamental professional principles and practices related to sales and marketing.Awareness of common systems and databases for sales and marketing. Understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations related to area of assignment.Developing analytics, reports and communications within sales and marketing.Reading, analyzing and interpreting business periodicals, journals and related information. Identifying areas to drive efficiency and operational effectiveness.Managing time and products to achieve results within deadlines. Operating a PC or laptop and associated programs, such as Microsoft Office products, email, and related items.Communicating operational and service information.Operating in a both a team and individual contributor environment.Identifying and communicating potential operational or analytical concerns.Being proactive in service and customer needs.Developing and delivering reports and presentations.Fostering a positive, competitive, confident environment. Persuading and influencing customers.Developing collaborative relationships. Travel Requirements: Some travel is required for this position, up to about 15%.
