RESPONSIBILTIES:

The role will include (but not be limited to) developing, implementing, and maintaining .NET, SQL, SSIS, and SSRS applications at SCC. .NET and SQL experience is required with strong ability to learn additional skills such as SSIS / SSRS, quickly is required. This role will require the candidate to work with remote resources (near shore/offshore). Business User relationship management within SCC, strong communication and organizational skills will be vital to the success of this position.

JOB DUTIES:

Primary objectives are to learn and document existing applications and be able to support and resolve any issues that arise.Work with Senior Solutions Architect to move applications off VB.net to SSIS / SSRS.Define application objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.Design and develops user interfaces to applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.Update job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Proactively work with senior IT management and business sponsors or stakeholders to ensure application functionality is as per expectations.Demonstrate and apply a balanced mix of technical and business skillsAccepted candidate will learn skills for database management, SharePoint administration, web services, and vendor relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two to four years' experience working with .NET, preferably Visual Basic.net with exposure to C#Two to four years' experience working in SQL, either Oracle or SQL server requiredProven capabilities from either former employment or internship involving development and maintenance of .net applications.Proven capabilities from internships involving development and maintenance of .NET and SQL (either Oracle or SQL Server) based applications may be considered for the right candidateExperience with business and technical requirements analysis, modeling, verification and methodology developmentExperience in full project lifecycle implementations (requirements gathering, vendor or solution evaluation/selection, design, configuration, testing, implementation)Experience with current best practices in IT standards, principles, software development methodologies, application development best practices and security practices on Windows based systemsExperience with Microsoft technologies/languages/patterns such as C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, JavaScript.Experience with MVC, JQuery, WCF, Web APIs, Web Hosting, Search Engine Optimizations, Bootstrap and AngularJS is a plus.Possess superior analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrate excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skillsIndividual accountability and contributions within a team-based environment; you will work as part of the overall IT Apps & Data team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

WORK CONDITIONS:

As assigned, including some weekends, evenings and holidays; exempt position AA/EEO/M/F/D/V
