Parking is troublesome enough without two of the lots, A and B, being closed for construction.
Why the lots are closed and the reasons behind the construction are questions being posed by many students.
According to construction updates on the Richland College website, it has become necessary to demolish, renovate and resurface both lots on the west side of campus which can no longer accommodate the heavy daily traffic.
The renovation will fix potholes and other road imperfections that can potentially harm vehicles.
Both lots will be completely closed and students are encouraged to carpool to make up for the lost capacity.
Prepare to take extra time finding a parking spot. Students are urged to arrive on campus 30 minutes early to allow time to find a spot and walk to class.
The parking lots are expected to reopen on November 20.
